You can store documents on your HomeHak account that you may wish to retrieve and share in the future. Examples for a home seeker might include written references from landlords, agents, working professionals or friends who vouch for you.
Safely store sensitive documents like salary slips, bank statements or ID documents. You can also store your lease agreement and photos and videos of your new property before you move in, to avoid disputes later.
To upload documents to your HomeHak account, follow these steps:
- Log in and go to settings. You will find it by clicking on your name at the top right-hand corner of the website.
- Go to the section "CREATE MY TENANT CV."
- Click on: "Documents Management."
- Click on "Add now" to upload documents to your HomeHak account.
- Choose the type of document you are going to upload.
- Name the document.
- Fill in the fields. Example: date of the reference, date of inventory, credit score, etc.
- Click on "Browse" to look for the document.
- Click on "Upload document."
Upload or request references
You can upload paper or email references following the below instructions. You can also request the references directly through the platform.
- Go to "Settings, Create Profile, MENU."
- Go to the section "CREATE MY TENANT CV."
- Click on "References for me."
- Fill in the required fields.
- Choose the sort of reference (landlord, employer, working professional contact, co-tenants, etc).
- Feel free to personalise the template we have prepared for requesting references.
- Lastly, choose the channel you want to use to request the reference and when you want the request to be sent to the reference provider.

Control who sees your data
Each document uploaded will be shown with a private/public button to give you control over who has access to the document. For added security, when the reviewer has seen your document, you can click the private button to hide your document until the next time you need it.
