An inventory is a detailed list of the contents and condition of your property taken before the resident moves in. It is important that, if there is a dispute over damages at the end of their stay, you have detailed evidence of the original condition of the property and its contents.
If you decide to include it in your homeowner-resident agreement, you can either use any free landlord inventory templates available online or create your own. You can include pictures of your property and contents to help you and your tenant/s monitor any changes.
